While learning and vacationing in America's Paradise

Tell. Show. Create.

We’ve all been there before: we attend a conference, gain new ideas, and get excited to implement them. Then we head back to reality. At the office, all the ideas get buried under work, pushed to the bottom of never-ending to-do lists.

As a  speaker, I see it all the time. I love sharing valuable information, but it’s also important to me that attendees have actionable knowledge to take with them when they leave.

That’s why this workshop retreat is special. I want to elevate the way we share information. At CE on the Beach, we’ll not only tell and show how to build content, but together, we will create custom content for you while actually sitting on the beaches of America’s Paradise.

Most of all, I’m excited to share my home island of St. Thomas, USVI with all of you. Come learn, implement, and put your toes in the sand while refining your marketing.

P.S. The photo is an example of the kind of creative you will receive in your personalized Content Package.

This destination workshop is for anyone who wants to learn how to build effective marketing strategies, go back with a content package that includes personalized photos & short form videos, and be in the U.S. Virgin Islands!

St. Thomas is a United States territory and that is why it is called America’s Paradise. The locals are U.S. citizens, speak english and use the U.S. dollar. You do not need passports, but we recommend bringing them to make it easier,  especially if you decide to visit the British Virgin Islands. Check out the information below:

  • Airport: Cyril E. King Airport
  • Airport code: STT
  • There are MANY direct flights with incredible deals. Check out the flights for August and you will be pleasantly surprised!
  • COVID-19 Travel Screening: www.usvitravelportal.com
  • Please save that website, check it and follow the steps  for any travel requirements.
  • Island Info: VI Now, VIST USVI, St.Thomas FB Group

As you can gather, the Virgin Islands are meant to be explored. In fact, there is only one all-inclusive resort in St. Thomas because the islanders and tourists love to enjoy the local flare.

St. Thomas is a very popular travel destination. Please find and reserve your accommodations as soon as possible.

Below are our recommendations.

Our workshop is at the Caribbean Fish Market located at the Elysian Beach Resort. Elysian Beach Resort is located in the Cowpet Bay area, and you can find rooms there through Airbnb & Vrbo.

Airbnb & VRBO: Find villas, homes, condos, resort rooms and short term rental properties with beach views, pools and more on Airbnb & Vrbo. PRO TIP: search for Cowpet Bay, St. Thomas when using these platforms if you want to stay close to our workshop venue, but feel free to stay elsewhere and explore the island!

Ritz Carlton: The Ritz Carlton is right next to our venue and in walking distance. We found some Ritz Carlton rooms on Vrbo too!

Sapphire Beach Resort: Popular resort on Vrbo, Airbnb & Expedia. It’s a 10 minutes drive to our workshop venue. ( Good beach, okay pools).

Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham: Popular resort on Vrbo, Airbnb & Expedia. It’s a 15 minutes drive to our workshop venue.  (Good pools, okay beach).

Lime Tree Beach Resort: Popular resort on Vrbo, Airbnb & Expedia. It’s a 20 minutes drive to our workshop venue.

Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove: It’s a 25 minutes drive to our workshop venue. PRO TIP: you can find rooms for this location on Vrbo and Airbnb.

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort: They have an all-inclusive option. It’s a 15 minutes drive to our venue

The most economical way to get around  St. Thomas is to rent a car. St. Thomas does not have Uber, Lyft or any other ride sharing services. There are many Taxis and safari buses available if you prefer not to drive. Since this is a travel destination, taxis will cost more per person.

If you decide to rent a car, please be extra mindful as you will be driving on the left side of the road. Here are some tips for you

PRO TIP: Carpooling is a good idea too.

One of the best things about this workshop retreat is that Minal is a local who grew up on the island and her parents still live there! Check out a few of her local tips.

  • On the way to or back from Magens Bay, stop by Udder Delight for delicious ice cream & shakes. You have options to add Rum too!
  • If you like hiking, a challenge and want to see the Caribbean Sea meet the Atlantic Ocean, go to Mermaids Chair. Read the comments here to get visitor insights.
  • If you do a private boat charter, ask the captain to include Lovango Bay as a snorkeling spot.  And yes, private boat charters are totally worth it and there are many options for you to choose from!
  • If you are at the Red Hook ferry terminal, go to one of the local vendors, and buy Johnny Cake (a savory cornmeal bread).
  • Islanders like to be greeted. Saying Good Morning, Good Day and Thank you goes a long way.
  • Minal will be sharing many more local tips on her social media!

St. Thomas has everything from mesmerizing beaches to scrumptious food to the best duty free shopping! Below are some of our favorite things to do in St.Thomas.

Known to have the best duty free shopping in the Caribbean, St. Thomas does not disappoint with the jewelry collection featuring diamonds & gold, liquor and locally made crafts!

Allowance: Each U.S. resident, including children, can take home $1600 worth of duty-free goods bought in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Keep your receipts safe as you may be asked to show them. This duty-free allowance is double the $800 limit from other islands! (source: www.virginislandsthisweek.com)

Liquor: You can take 5 cartons of cigarettes & 6 bottles of liquor (free checked in box) as long as a one of the bottles is a product made in the Virgin Islands. Now you know why Minal has so many rum bottles!

Jewelry: We saved the best for the last; let’s chat about diamonds! If you are looking to add a little sparkle, St. Thomas is the place to shop! Also, if you decide to buy from Golden Star Jewelers located on Main Street, they will give to Oral Cancer Cause for each of the jewelry pieces you buy! Golden Star is operated by the Sampats and is where Minal learned about customer service from her family!

The U.S. Virgin Islands consists of four large islands;  St. Thomas, St. Croix,  St. John and Water Island. To the north and east are the British Virgin Islands.  These islands were among the first to be sighted by Christopher Columbus during his second voyage! Below are some tips for you to island hop.

St. John: The island of St. John is only about a 35 minutes ferry ride from St. Thomas. St. John is one of the our favorite U.S. Virgin Islands with its pristine beaches and hiking trails. We highly recommend you visit this island, and especially spend some time on Trunk Bay beach! PRO TIP: you can also bring your car on the car ferry!

Water Island: One of the smaller U.S. Virgin Islands about 40 minutes away from St. Thomas. If you want a peaceful beach day, take the ferry over to spend some time on Honeymoon Beach!

St. Croix: Ferries are not easily available for a day trip to St. Croix as it takes more than 2 hours to get there. Unless you have plenty of time, we recommend that you save this island for another trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands.

British Virgin Islands (BVI): The BVIs are a popular destination to include in your private boat trips or to take a ferry over from Red Hook. Minal’s favorite BVI is Jost Van Dyke which is home to the world famous Soggy Dollar Beach Bar!

We are currently working with local island businesses to provide deals for our attendees! Keep an eye out for the list as we get closer to August.

Earlier this year I was visiting home and shared a photo of myself in St. Thomas. I was humbled by the love pouring in, and messages asking me to host an event on the island, plus take similar photos on the beach! Well, here we are!

St.Thomas is my home. It’s where my family lives and it is filled with childhood memories and so much more. This retreat is special because though I travel the world to speak at workshops and conferences, this is the first time I am hosting at my home island.

I hope to see you there and look forward to sharing the beauty of St. Thomas with you.

As a dentist, speaker, author and podcaster I come into contact with many other industry experts in our very small dental world . There are very few people who are as engaging of a speaker as Minal Sampat. She brings a very unique perspective to her seminars and the response she receives from her attendees is truly remarkable. Some things that come to mind when I think of Minal as a speaker are knowledgable, informative, straight shooter and current.
