We’ve all been there before: we attend a conference, gain new ideas, and get excited to implement them. Then we head back to reality. At the office, all the ideas get buried under work, pushed to the bottom of never-ending to-do lists.
As a speaker, I see it all the time. I love sharing valuable information, but it’s also important to me that attendees have actionable knowledge to take with them when they leave.
That’s why this workshop retreat is special. I want to elevate the way we share information. At CE on the Beach, we’ll not only tell and show how to build content, but together, we will create custom content for you while actually sitting on the beaches of America’s Paradise.
Most of all, I’m excited to share my home island of St. Thomas, USVI with all of you. Come learn, implement, and put your toes in the sand while refining your marketing.
This destination workshop is for anyone who wants to learn how to build effective marketing strategies, go back with a content package that includes personalized photos & short form videos, and be in the U.S. Virgin Islands!
CE on the Beach is for dental professionals & team, coaches, consultants, speakers, small businesses and large companies.

St. Thomas is a United States territory and that is why it is called America’s Paradise. The locals are U.S. citizens, speak english and use the U.S. dollar. You do not need passports, but we recommend bringing them to make it easier, especially if you decide to visit the British Virgin Islands. Check out the information below:
The most economical way to get around St. Thomas is to rent a car. St. Thomas does not have Uber, Lyft or any other ride sharing services. There are many Taxis and safari buses available if you prefer not to drive. Since this is a travel destination, taxis will cost more per person.
If you decide to rent a car, please be extra mindful as you will be driving on the left side of the road. Here are some tips for you.
PRO TIP: Carpooling is a good idea too.
St. Thomas has everything from mesmerizing beaches to scrumptious food to the best duty free shopping! Below are some of our favorite things to do in St.Thomas.
Known to have the best duty free shopping in the Caribbean, St. Thomas does not disappoint with the jewelry collection featuring diamonds & gold, liquor, and locally made crafts!
Allowance: Each U.S. resident, including children, can take home $1600 worth of duty-free goods bought in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Keep your receipts safe as you may be asked to show them. This duty-free allowance is double the $800 limit from other islands! (source: www.virginislandsthisweek.com)
Liquor: You can take 5 cartons of cigarettes & 6 bottles of liquor (free checked in box) as long as a one of the bottles is a product made in the Virgin Islands. Now you know why Minal has so many rum bottles!
Jewelry: We saved the best for the last; let’s chat about diamonds! If you are looking to add a little sparkle, St. Thomas is the place to shop! Also, if you decide to buy from Golden Star Jewelers located on Main Street, they will give to Oral Cancer Cause for each of the jewelry pieces you buy! Golden Star is operated by the Sampats and is where Minal learned about customer service from her family!
The U.S. Virgin Islands consists of four large islands; St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John and Water Island. To the north and east are the British Virgin Islands. These islands were among the first to be sighted by Christopher Columbus during his second voyage! Below are some tips for you to island hop.
St. John: The island of St. John is only about a 35 minutes ferry ride from St. Thomas. St. John is one of the our favorite U.S. Virgin Islands with its pristine beaches and hiking trails. We highly recommend you visit this island, and especially spend some time on Trunk Bay beach! PRO TIP: you can also bring your car on the car ferry!
Water Island: One of the smaller U.S. Virgin Islands about 40 minutes away from St. Thomas. If you want a peaceful beach day, take the ferry over to spend some time on Honeymoon Beach!
St. Croix: Ferries are not easily available for a day trip to St. Croix as it takes more than 2 hours to get there. Unless you have plenty of time, we recommend that you save this island for another trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
British Virgin Islands (BVI): The BVIs are a popular destination to include in your private boat trips or to take a ferry over from Red Hook. Minal’s favorite BVI is Jost Van Dyke which is home to the world famous Soggy Dollar Beach Bar!
One of the best things about this workshop retreat is that Minal is a local who grew up on the island and her parents still live there! Check out a few of her local tips.

Earlier this year I was visiting home and shared a photo of myself in St. Thomas. I was humbled by the love pouring in, and messages asking me to host an event on the island, plus take similar photos on the beach! Well, here we are!
St. Thomas is my home. It’s where my family lives and it is filled with childhood memories and so much more. This retreat is special because though I travel the world to speak at workshops and conferences, this is the first time I am hosting at my home island.
I hope to see you there and look forward to sharing the beauty of St. Thomas with you.
